Pituitary folliculo-stellate cells express annexin-A1 (ANXA1), a mediator protein necessary for glucocorticoid(GC)-induced negative feedback of adreno-corticotrophic hormone (ACTH) release. ANXA1 acts via formyl peptide receptors (FPR in man, Fpr in rodents).
